What is Mammography?

Digital Mammography is a procedure used to demonstrate highly detailed images of breast tissue on screen rather than using conventional film.

InHealth provides a service using Digital Mammography for the NHS Breast Screening Programme. Detailed mammograms are performed for all eligible women by highly skilled, professional staff, in mobile and static units. These images are read by at least two expertly trained film readers and additional views, ultrasound and biopsy procedures are performed as required.
